I also had problems getting enough filling in with the masa, bactrim generic, Louisiana LA, but the end result with some avocado and salsa was delicious. And I am completely in love with the fact that I now have a big bag of tamales in my freezer that I can heat up whenever I want, online bactrim. Buy generic bactrim, I am definitely making these again and experimenting with fillings.

I’ve always wanted to make my own tamales! I can’t find corn husks here either. They seem to be very time consuming, but I am glad you had good results. I bet they were yummy!

Homemade vegan tamales!?!?! YES PLEASE! I looove tamales but haven’t had any since going vegan. Oh man I bet they were so tasty!

you’re my hero, Cyn! i haven’t gotten brave enough to try making tamales yet. i guess i’m intimidated by the whole steaming thing (well, that & i don’t have a steamer) – i need to make some though. thanks for the note on the masa – if the stuff we get doesn’t have salt we’ll fo ‘sho add it in! they look so good! mmmmmmmmmmmm!

wow, vegan tamales.. who would have thunk! you know, making the masa is really very easy.. but we do use chicken stock along with the poblano chile sauce to flavor it. xmas tradition here.. make about 8 to 12 doz.
anyway, just dropping by.. noticed you dont update pinkhaird girl much anymore.

You can use banana leaves instead of corn husks. If you can’t find fresh banana leaves where you are, sometimes they are in the freezer section with the latino foods.
