Awww, sorry about your soup fail! I think the flavor combination sounds intriguing, but you never know until you actually taste it. I think I’ll trust you on this one! Better luck next time.

I remember that recipe from that cookbook. It always sounded a little strange to me. Hopefully the next soup turns out better!

Aw, man. I hate when that blender explosion thing happens. I’m never patient enough to wait til soups cool either…and soup always ends up on my walls (and me!).

oh man, Cyn – sorry your meal was kinda “meh”. i think i’d be pretty irritated at some soup if it blew up on me, too! that sucks! i can also see get’n sick of that much lettuce, fo ‘sho! the chive puree does sound nice – and we love mixing flours for breads, too – kinda gives ‘em more dimensions and texture and such. i’ve never tried the white whole wheat flour before. sorry again about the blender and hot soup everywhere. grrrrr!
