I wasn't sure I'd like this when I decided to make it. I bought three new cookbooks from Amazon when I got my paycheck, as is my new tradition, and I wanted to make something from each of them this week, but all the recipes in this involved like, making your own curry paste, and I just wasn't feeling it. So I picked this because I had some tempeh in the fridge I needed to do something with, and it looked easy. But I'm generally not really crazy about sweet & sour stuff (especially since the phrase makes me think of that bright pink stuff you get in cheap chinese restaurants).
But I made it, and I really liked it. It wasn't amazing, but it was quick & easy to make, and the tempeh was great, all crispy and sort of gooey from the marinade. It wasn't overly sweet, either, more tangy than anything. It's making me think I should stop being lazy and make some of the other recipes in this book.
